I feel so overwhelmed with emotion. For the past 4 days I have sat home with my baby girl playing with her, snuggling with her, feeding her as much as she'll eat to fatten her up, ah... I mean make her stronger for her surgery, and just watching her sleep. I have not picked up a broom, mop, vacuum, nor duster. My husband will tell you that's typical...lol. I have not gone to the grocery store, picked up the dry cleaning, and so far have only prepared one dinner. I have not met any of my friends for play dates nor Aunt Shirley & Stephanie for lunch. I have a million and one things to do but while at home all I want to do is spend my time with Addie.
I know with all my heart she will pull through this, but deep down I am frightened by the alternative. I do not want to miss out on anything this little girl has to offer...
She has started to make silly faces and gives us a "holler" when she wants some attention.
She sticks her tongue out when she is happy.
She cries when she is hungry then gets so excited when she sees her food.
She spits it out all over my top most days because she is still learning how to eat.
She rolls over like a pro and although she does not crawl she creatively finds ways to get the toy she wants.
When she smiles her eyes sparkle.
She gets excited to hear her Daddy's voice on the phone.
She loves to look at pictures.
She gets excited and does what we call her "cheerleader" move by thrusting her arms in the air and kicking her legs when she wakes up and sees Mommy.
She laughs when her big sister Peyton talks to her.
She keeps her hair bows in (that is important for us Moms...lol).
She still has tiny feet and they are so darn cute.
She has crazy hair which people love to comment on like her big sister did (OK, Peyton's was a little crazier).
She's just so darn adorable.
She is a good baby.
She holds her pacifier by putting her tiny thumb in the hole.
She plays peek-a-boo by pulling her burp rag over her face then pulling it down all by herself.
She loves to sleep with the blanket over her face.
During her afternoon naps she will roll over and sleep on her tummy although she still sleeps on her back at night.
She is a little peanut weighing in at only 13 1/2lbs at 6 months old.
She is healthy, happy, and full of life.
She can melt your heart with a smile (and a tongue sticking out).
You can't help but laugh when she laughs.
She is amazing.
She is loved.
She is a blessing to us all.
